i don't get it.. it looks like shit, the ship prices are astronomical and all i've heard people talk about it is that it's a "star citizen rip off" and an "NFT Scam" or something. "This capital ship is 30 000USD" and there's no interior or anything you just fly a pretty much white box ship or something? am i missing a crucial piece of info or what cause i don't see a single reason for this to be priced this way.

It looks like an early StarCitizen copy but that is not all the crew we got for participateing in Surge test has now been diluted because now they are giving away crew packs for evey ship in your fleet. So if you only got claimstakes you get Zero and with them other super food factorys that will directly compete with them that you could not buy with atlas or usdc but instead with a companys coin Wagner used. So this is there payoff with the devaluation of your claimstakes. This was supposed to be prevented by the voting system but that has now been proved ineffective or out right con you pick. If you need a reason why StarAtlas is dieing you need not look any further.

I'm very interested in what griefing can you do in this game. Can you just murder hobo people for fun? Can you infiltrate orgs and inside their events to create mald? Is it possible to steal someons ship and it becomes yours?
Ripping off star citizen's UI using Unreal Engine Stock models is nasty work.

@@DominicVain I'll take your word for it, I just find it hard to believe because nothing in the environment has a lick of personality. There's no context or prompt to anything you're doing, The only thing being communicated to the viewer is "look at this model, look at this engine". It's a literal tech demo, not a game demo. In what capacity is this universe coming to life? It doesn't seem like you are trying to sell me a game. It looks like you are showing something cheap and easily made with tools laying around while reaching into my back pocket to pay for something and I don't even know what it is. It looks like it's composed of ideas sourced from other games (chronicles of elyria, Earth 2, etc) to look convincing. I've seen alphas and MVPs with more of an identity than this.

The most I can say is that this has more gameplay than earth 2. Way too early to judge the gameplay, but I will say that the big ship is not worth $30,000 by what was shown to us.

Look at how long Star Citizen is taking to make and just realise that this game is just at the start of that process. SA is touting exactly the same things and copying the same path but without nearly as many backers. It has more investors looking to make money than dedicated players.
